CGIAR-CSI GeoSpatial Data Sharing Platform for
Asia Tsunami Rehabilitation
The CGIAR-CSI Data Sharing Platform supports information exchange for Tsunami related rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. It is intended as a platform to provide easy access to a varietey of geospatial data for the affected regions. This site is currently under development, and in it’s intial stages. Much of the initial data currently available on this site is provided through the Tsunami Satellite Data Catalog (TSDC) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). We expect that much more data will become available soon, and that this site will continue to develop as a data sharing platform for a wide variety of geospatial and georeferenced data from a large variety of sources. Your contributions and suggestions are appreciated and solicited. Organization interested to become partners in this effort are urged to contact us.
The CGIAR-CSI Data Sharing Platform is a joint effort of the many CGIAR Centers active in the affected region, and is provided collaboratively through the CGIAR Consortium for Spatial Information (CGIAR-CSI). Many thanks to CGNET in Palo Alto for donating the server, the bandwidth, and hosting this site; and to the CGIAR ICT-KM Program, IWMI, and the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI) for providing funding and support.
